Our Heart Felt Community was founded by Katelyn Murphy.  She found her love for writing children's books during her time as a Victim Advocate while residing in North Carolina.  When she started writing she had tons of support from her late husband.  He encouraged her to pursue her talents and support her local community.  After he passed, she knew this needed to be her full-time goal.

​Katelyn has always had a creative edge and playing with felt has really made her heart whole.  She works towards educating and inspiring everyone around her.  ​During her time as a Victim Advocate, she had several grants that help bring her books out into the community.  Katelyn wishes to continue writing and sharing books with those that need them.
